At Vogelsang Fastener, giving back to our local communities is a core value. Throughout the year, we participate in events and fundraisers, offering financial contributions, active engagement, and hands-on support to make a meaningful impact.
One organization especially close to us is The Arc of Ocean County, whose mission is to protect the rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while promoting their full inclusion in the community.
“We always strive to assist those in need, no matter the organization,” says Dale Stuban, Managing Director of Vogelsang. “However, after working personally with The Arc, it’s clear they go above and beyond for the people they serve.”
Vogelsang’s partnership with The Arc extends beyond financial support. We actively participate in their initiatives, from providing vending machines to supporting events, hosting their Christmas party, and much more.

“Our relationship with The Arc is meaningful to me on many levels,” says Jen Stuban, Director of Finance & Administration at Vogelsang. “But above all, I want to know I’ve made a real impact. I teach my children these same values, and both of them actively participate in The Arc’s initiatives as well, which fills me with immense pride.”
Whether it’s participating in the annual Step Up For The Arc event, partnering on employment and training programs, or supporting fundraising efforts, Vogelsang is proud to stand behind The Arc’s mission.
Employer Of The Year Recognition
While the joy and opportunities we help create are reward enough, being recognized for our efforts reinforces the impact we strive to make.
Each year, The Arc’s Catalyst Awards recognize businesses, employees, and individuals who champion inclusive employment and go above and beyond to further The Arc’s mission.
This year, Vogelsang was honored to receive the prestigious Employer of the Year, with Jen Stuban and Dale Stuban receiving the award for their leadership and dedication.

Your commitment to providing production, sponsorships, attendance at our many events, and literally bringing the spirit of Christmas to the Arc Employment Center were just a few reasons you deserved this award. I am proud to work with such a community-oriented program and look forward to our future together.”
A Partnership That Creates Opportunity
Vogelsang has been a dedicated partner of The Arc, working closely to create meaningful employment opportunities. As our business grew, we faced a backlog in our bagging and kitting department. Instead of outsourcing, we turned to The Arc, collaborating to develop a training program that set employees up for success.
This innovative partnership not only helped us meet production goals but also empowered individuals with disabilities to contribute in a meaningful and fulfilling way.

The award ceremony was a powerful reminder of the difference The Arc makes in the lives of those they serve. Reflecting on the event, Dale Stuban shared his thoughts:
“Seeing individuals who got their start at The Arc now thriving in the job market was simply amazing. It’s inspiring to witness the impact of meaningful opportunities firsthand.”
Jen added, “The awards ceremony was truly special, and they even made a short video thanking us for all the work we’ve done together. We shared the video with our team, and everyone was deeply moved.”
